The Apple TV+ series titled “Slow Horses,” featuring Gary Oldman, is set to make a comeback on September 24 for its fifth season. Starting from then, we’ll have two episodes airing initially, followed by one episode every week up until the final episode on October 22.
The series ‘Slow Horses’ revolves around a troupe of British intelligence operatives, who are all less than perfect and find themselves relegated to a unit known as Slough House after committing significant professional blunders. Oldman portrays Jackson Lamb, a complex character, both brilliant yet grumpy, serving as the team’s commander.”

According to the season 5 summary, there’s a sense of suspicion among everyone when tech whiz Roddy Ho gets a glamorous new girlfriend. However, as a string of peculiar occurrences unfolds across the city, it becomes the Slow Horses’ responsibility to unravel the connections. This is because in the realm of espionage, the London Rules – watch your back – are always relevant.
In addition to Gary Oldman, the ensemble cast of “Slow Horses” features Kristin Scott Thomas, Jack Lowden, Saskia Reeves, Rosalind Eleazar, Christopher Chung, Aimee-Ffion Edwards, Ruth Bradley, James Callis, Tom Brooke, and Jonathan Pryce. For Season 5, Nick Mohammed will make a special appearance.
According to the “Slough House” novel series penned by Mick Herron, the television adaptation of “Slow Horses” was overseen by Will Smith, who also serves as an executive producer alongside Jamie Laurenson, Hakan Kousetta, Julian Stevens, Iain Canning, Emile Sherman, Douglas Urbanski, Gail Mutrux, and Graham Yost. Saul Metzstein directs the series, which is produced for Apple TV+ by See-Saw Films.
