How To Start The Crooked Trail Quest

Once you’ve entered the second region, Cuanacht, proceed towards the western part of the lower city, as it is teeming with workers. Among this group, you’ll easily spot a distinctive individual wearing a red hat named Rowan. Be sure to engage in conversation with him.

Rowan will request you to return a cherished family item that was stolen from him by his former comrades, and he’ll guide you on how to find it at the nearby camp of these deserters, so you can get it back for him.

How To Complete The Crooked Trail Quest

To get to the hideout you’re looking for, which lies to the south from where you are now, accompanied by Rowan, is your next destination. Upon reaching there, take care of any hostile forces that may be present so you can explore freely and find the desired item without interference.

Upon vanquishing the foes, I discovered quite surprisingly that there was no cherished family heirloom to be found – only a cunningly laid trap.

Head towards the northern part of the campsite, where you’ll come across a tent. Right behind this tent, there’s a missive waiting for you to explore and uncover the truth regarding Rowan.

Return to where Rowan is and challenge him regarding the matter. Initially, he may deny it, but eventually, he’ll confess to all his actions. Once he does, the quest will be over, however, Rowan will become your adversary from then on.

If you feel it’s not necessary, there’s no need for you to harm him. But should you choose to act otherwise, you’ll have the opportunity to obtain his red hat from him.
