The well-known voice actor, Jonathan Joss, who played John Redcorn on the popular animated sitcom “King of the Hill“, passed away following a shooting incident at the hands of a neighbor. At the time of his death, he was 59 years old.
As a film enthusiast, I’m sharing an unfortunate incident that occurred recently in San Antonio, Texas. According to the San Antonio Police Department, I found myself embroiled in a heated verbal dispute with a neighbor near my home. The specifics of the disagreement remain unclear at present, but it escalated to a point where my neighbor brandished a firearm and fired multiple shots, striking me. After fleeing the scene in a vehicle, I tragically succumbed to my injuries despite the valiant attempts of responding paramedics to save me. I was later pronounced dead.
In my humble opinion as a movie reviewer, the police have since caught up with the prime suspect – Sigfredo Alvarez-Cega – just a stone’s throw away from the crime scene. He stands accused of murder and currently has a hefty $200K bond hanging over his head. As the investigators delve deeper into this gripping tale, they’re talking to eyewitnesses in an attempt to piece together the details of the heated argument that led up to the tragic events.
As a devoted movie critic, I’ve always admired the versatility and talent of Joss, best known for lending his voice to the character John Redcorn in “King of the Hill” from seasons 2 through 13. He stepped into the role after Victor Aaron, the original voice actor, passed away in 1996.
Sadly, we lost Joss as well, but before he departed, it was announced that he would reprise his role as John Redcorn for the upcoming “King of the Hill” sequel series on Hulu this summer. This news comes after another tragic loss, as Johnny Hardwick, Dale Gribble’s voice actor, also passed away, having completed some work for the new series.
In a surprising turn of events, Toby Huss has been confirmed to take over as the voice of Dale in the revival.
