The Hundred Line creator isn’t satisfied with 100 endings & reveals plans for more

As a die-hard RPG enthusiast immersed in The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy, I can’t help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation. Currently, this epic game boasts an impressive collection of 100 distinct endings, but the creator isn’t content with that number and is eager to expand it further.

At first, The Hundred Line went unnoticed upon its arrival in April, however, it managed to grab attention due to its intriguing narrative that offers a hundred distinct conclusions based on the choices and paths you take. Remarkably, the script for this piece is so extensive that it could fill up as many as 60 novels.

It’s conceivable you could consider adding more content to a single game, yet the designer intentionally aims to include additional conclusions within an already complex narrative.

Kazutaka Kodaka, famous for creating the Danganronpa series, recently responded to a fan via X, expressing his intention to add multiple distinct endings to the game through additional downloadable content after its initial launch.

When asked if the future updates would simply be fixes and improvements, he responded:

Our team is currently focusing on resolving issues and enhancing the existing features. Meanwhile, I’m also eager to work on downloadable content, particularly new routes.

1. Our team is currently focusing on resolving issues and enhancing the software. Personally, I’m excited about creating downloadable content featuring new pathways as well.

2. We’re busy with problem-solving and upgrades here, but on a personal note, I’d love to develop some extra levels for our product too.

3. In terms of our team efforts, we’re tackling bugs and making things better. On my own time, though, I’m looking forward to designing additional routes for the DLC.

4. The main task at hand is addressing issues and boosting performance, but in addition, I have plans for expanding the game with extra routes through DLC.

5. We’re hard at work squashing bugs and making improvements, while on a more personal level, I aim to contribute by developing new routes for downloadable content.

Unfortunately, he failed to provide details about the appearance of these extra paths or their intended audience. However, despite the challenge of discovering all possible outcomes, it’s clear that players are eager for more content.

A thrilled supporter commented that the concept of Hundred Lines seems perfect for additional downloadable content. I’m eagerly waiting to find out what creative possibilities you might explore next.

“Would immediately buy up that DLC!” added another.

If you’re a fresh face at The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy and planning to jump on board before the upcoming DLC release, you’ve got quite a task ahead! On average, it takes approximately 178 hours to experience all existing content, and that doesn’t even include the new material Kodaka is preparing.
