Many fans have numerous reasons to look forward to watching Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 on Disney+ eventually, and one of the most enticing factors for me personally is the return of Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones alongside Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock. (Cox himself shares his excitement for the second season.) Now, a picture from the MCU series’ set appears to unveil a significant detail about a familiar vigilante that should generate lots of fan anticipation.
The final episode of “Daredevil: Born Again” saw Matt and Karen uniting with other members of their community to confront a more corrupt city administration, led by New York’s most brutal mayor yet, Wilson Fisk. It seems that White Tiger 2.0 might eventually join their crusade, as recent photos from Season 2 production suggest that Angela Del Toro is assuming the role of the vigilante, following her uncle Hector’s death.
The image posted by user @RayyanTCG on X features Season 1 regular actress Camila Rodriguez seemingly donning a DIY White Tiger costume, which may hint at Angela’s initial homemade attempt. Since the picture doesn’t confirm any specific details about Season 2 and its content remains uncertain, fans should approach this kind of photo with a pinch of salt or a cautious perspective.
From her black-and-white hoodie, bandana mask covering the lower part of her face, and protective gear on knees and elbows, it’s not hard to see why one might think Angela is preparing for revenge over her uncle’s assassination by assuming his crime-fighting persona. Alternatively, she could be a member of the Hell’s Kitchen White Tigers roller derby team, but that seems unlikely.
Angela’s Return As White Tiger Was Hinted At In Season 1’s Finale
In Episode 4, Angela (Camila Rodriguez) first appeared and immediately expressed her indignation over Hector’s murder. It was noticeable that she showed more dedication to seeking justice than Matt did at that moment. This pattern persisted whenever she tried to share information about the recent kidnappings with him.
In the sixth episode, tension escalated significantly as Angela’s independent investigation led her directly into Muse’s line of sight. He managed to knock her unconscious and imprison her, intending to draw her blood. Fortunately, Daredevil became aware of the situation and arrived just in time to rescue her. Despite this harrowing experience, it didn’t deter Angela from pursuing her vigilante aspirations.
Previously, the audience last witnessed the character during the final moments of Season 1’s conclusion, where Matt’s voiceover was accompanied by introspective shots featuring the surviving characters who significantly influenced the narrative. Notably, Angela is depicted gazing at a row of armored policemen on the street, and her expression clearly suggested disapproval, fueling fan speculation that Angela might assume the White Tiger mantle in Season 2.
It was to be expected that the storyline involving White Tiger would continue since Angela assumed the role of White Tiger in the comics. Therefore, it might have been more unexpected if “Daredevil: Born Again” hadn’t updated this character’s history. However, with the release of the first set photo, fans can now breathe a sigh of relief knowing that White Tiger will indeed make a return.
