Johnson expressed his desire to make the film available in as many theaters as possible, stating to Business Insider, “I believe that if you put a movie people want to see in theaters, they will attend. The experience of being in a packed house and enjoying the atmosphere is so valuable. It’s something I cherish, and I wish for more of it in the world.

Given the financial backing behind “Wake Up Dead Man” and the success of the initial two “Knives Out” films, it’s not surprising that producers Johnson and Craig are eager for a broad theatrical distribution.
