A unique, Concord commemorative plaque, originally intended for honoring achievements, is currently up for bidding at Goodwill auctions, and the current bid has exceeded expectations.
Back in late 2024, Concord – the sci-fi hero shooter – generated quite a buzz, albeit for less than ideal reasons. It’s been some time since its shutdown, but it remains a topic of discussion.
Looking back, I can’t help but remember the heated debates about that game we all loved. Despite its charm, it was criticized for its rough edges, particularly in character designs and overall gameplay. And let’s not forget the price tag of $40, a steep cost when compared to other games from the same genre during that era which were often free to play.
Few people participated in the game initially, causing it to close after only two weeks. Interestingly, a commemorative plaque from that game has recently appeared on an online auction site in 2025.
A Concord developer’s launch plaque ended up at Goodwill

It’s clear that the commemorative plaque, which unexpectedly found its way to Goodwill, currently has bids totaling more than $3,000.00.
The plaque features the name of Chelsea Grace, a member of the art department team as indicated in the game’s credits. Moreover, the artwork for the game and the disc were both encased within the plaque.
Before assuming the worst, it’s important to remember that the seller of the plaque wasn’t Chelsea herself, but rather Goodwill of the Olympics and Rainier Region.
Well, you know, I’ve been pondering about this gaming collectible and whether it actually belonged to my character in the game or not. It seems like it might have slipped through the cracks during shipping, or perhaps another gamer donated it without realizing its significance. Either way, it’s a bit of a mystery!
Regardless of the choice, it’s entirely reasonable for someone to decide they want to leave behind all that transpired with the game and the studio.
Reflecting on the game, certain devoted gamers managed to secure a very uncommon accomplishment prior to its closure.
