Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren, two renowned actors, are teaming up once more, this time in a Netflix mystery comedy called “The Thursday Murder Club.” This intriguing production is set to premiere on August 28th, with veteran director Chris Columbus (famous for “Home Alone”) at the helm. The story revolves around four retirees who entertain themselves by solving cold case murders. “The Thursday Murder Club” is an adaptation of a 2020 novel of the same name written by Richard Osman, a popular author and television host.
On Thursday, Netflix unveiled the first official trailer for “The Thursday Murder Club,” following the announcement of its release date and initial images earlier this year. Joining Pierce Brosnan and Judi Dench in the film are Academy Award-winner Ben Kingsley and Celia Imrie. These four stars make up the central mystery-solving group featured in the title, who stumble upon a real murder case that leads them into an engaging “whodunit” enigma. Thankfully, the trailer avoids revealing any spoilers, instead tantalizing us with a promising mystery thriller reminiscent of “Only Murders in the Building.” Take a look at the teaser below.
More to come.
