It’s been some time since Finn Jones and Mike Colter last played their Marvel characters on screen. They were last seen together in the 2017 miniseries “The Defenders,” which also starred Krysten Ritter and Charlie Cox. This series was praised by critics, earning a 78% rating on Rotten Tomatoes with the consensus that it “[developed] well-known characters in an action-packed arc whose payoff was powerful enough to overshadow its shortcomings.” However, the success of the miniseries wasn’t mirrored in the ongoing shows for both actors.

Colter’s series, “Luke Cage,” which spanned across two seasons with a total of 26 episodes, generally received positive feedback from critics.
