Now, it’s scheduled to hit theaters on December 18, 2026, potentially competing against films like “Dune: Messiah”, “Shrek 5”, and Greta Gerwig’s adaptation of “The Chronicles of Narnia”.

The release date of “Avengers: Secret Wars” has been postponed from May 7, 2027, to December 17, 2027, coinciding with the planned release of “Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum“. Noteworthy, an unnamed “Star Wars” movie was initially scheduled for this date. However, it’s expected that this film might get rescheduled to accommodate the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s grand finale, marking the end of their multiverse saga.

What Do the New Release Dates Mean for the MCU?
