Street Fighter’s Akuma Joins Monster Hunter Wilds Very Soon

Following a hint at a future partnership, Capcom has unveiled a unique team-up: Monster Hunter Rise and Street Fighter 6. On May 28, Akuma will join the game, along with a Blanka-inspired costume for your Palico companion.

In the MH Wilds game, Akuma and Blanka-Chan will be available for all players at no cost. On the same day, you can choose to purchase additional outfits for Chun-Li and Cammy as DLC. Additionally, there are previews of weapon charms and emotes showcasing various Street Fighter characters that will also be part of the game.

The complete armor set of Akuma will transform your character into a battle demon. In a trailer showcasing the partnership, graphics reminiscent of Street Fighter and narration can be heard, and while we’re unsure if defeating a monster as Akuma will trigger this transformation, it would undoubtedly delight fans of the series.

In addition, you may observe Akuma participating in the game’s arm-wrestling competitions and moving through the environment with his distinctive loud, aggressive voice.

In conjunction with the Street Fighter collaboration on May 28th, Monster Hunter Wilds will also introduce a new tempered monster along with other gameplay modifications as part of update 1.011. Later in the summer, Capcom plans to roll out another Festival of Accord event and additional monsters to the game.
