Legendary filmmaker, producer, and writer Martin Scorsese, known for his lengthy career exceeding half a century and famous for directing films like “Goodfellas,” “Taxi Driver,” “Raging Bull,” and “Casino,” is soon to be the subject of a documentary. Streaming service Apple TV+ has announced a five-part docuseries called “Mr. Scorsese” that will delve into the life and career of this Hollywood legend by featuring in-depth discussions with Scorsese himself, as well as previously unseen interviews with his family, friends, and creative associates.
One of the individuals discussing Scorsese is the esteemed actor Robert De Niro, who has a rich history of collaboration having worked together on ten movies over five decades, from the 1973 film “Mean Streets” to the upcoming release “Killers of the Flower Moon” in 2023. In addition, interviews will be conducted with Daniel Day-Lewis, Leonardo DiCaprio, Mick Jagger, Robbie Robertson, Thelma Schoonmaker, Steven Spielberg, Sharon Stone, Jodie Foster, Paul Schrader, Margot Robbie, Cate Blanchett, Jay Cocks, and Rodrigo Prieto. Although Seth Rogen’s name is not on the list, he has recently worked with Scorsese on the production of “The Studio.
