At the end of this month, Disney will revive its FYC Fest at the DGA theatre on Sunset Boulevard. The festivities will commence with a special series finale event for “The Handmaid’s Tale,” airing on Hulu, on May 28th.
Over the next eleven days, I’ll be immersed in a whirlwind of screenings as part of the Disney FYC Fest, which is now in its fourth year. During this time, I’ll have the privilege to attend events showcasing some exciting shows, such as “Abbott Elementary” on ABC, “Andor” on Disney+, “Deli Boys” on Onyx/Hulu, “High Potential” on ABC, and “Only Murders in the Building,” “Paradise,” “Say Nothing,” “Sly Lives!”, “What We Do in the Shadows”, and “Will Trent” on Hulu. The festival will culminate on June 7 with an Emmy event for the FX series, “Dying for Sex.” What a movie buff’s dream come true!
At Disney FYC Fest, various divisions such as 20th Television, ABC, Disney+, FX, Hulu, Lucasfilm Ltd., Marvel Television, National Geographic, Onyx Collectible, and Walt Disney Studios will be showcased. The event kicks off with a TV wall displaying clips from shows like “The Handmaid’s Tale,” “Andor,” “Dying for Sex,” “Say Nothing,” and “High Potential.” Some of the photo opportunities include mimicking the “Only Murders in the Building” trio’s ride through L.A., a tribute wall for “Road Diary: Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band,” posing inside Cassian’s spaceship with K-2SO from “Andor,” and a green screen studio where visitors can appear in the worlds of shows like “The Handmaid’s Tale,” “Paradise,” “Say Nothing,” “David Blaine Do Not Attempt,” “Andor,” “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” “Deli Boys,” “What We Do in the Shadows,” “High Potential,” “Abbott Elementary,” “Sly Lives!”, and “Dying for Sex.”

For dinner, you’ll enjoy a meal served by the lunch ladies from “Abbott Elementary,” accompanied by sodas inspired by “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.” In addition, treats will be available from a vending machine styled after “Deli Boys,” and an ice cream cart reminiscent of Mid-Century Modern design.
Experiences encompass a DJ booth adorned with art inspired by “Beatles ’64” and “Music by John Williams”; a Subsoccer game themed around “Welcome to Wrexham”; the opportunity to pen a message on “The Bear’s” “Core Values” wall; an adventure along the witches’ road from “Agatha All Along”; and a glass of wine from Florence’s windows, courtesy of Nat Geo’s “Tucci in Italy.”
Or more casually:
You can enjoy a DJ booth with art reminiscent of “Beatles ’64” and “John Williams’ Music”, play a Subsoccer game themed around “Welcome to Wrexham”, write your thoughts on the wall of “The Bear’s Non-Negotiables”, help Morgan from “High Potential” solve her latest mystery, take a walk down the witches’ road from “Agatha All Along”, and even have a glass of wine from Florence’s windows through Nat Geo’s “Tucci in Italy”.
At the Disney FYC Fest, you’ll also find a variety of costumes and props from shows such as “Agatha All Along,” “Andor,” “Dancing with the Stars,” the upcoming series “Daredevil: Born Again,” “Doctor Who,” “The Lion King at The Hollywood Bowl,” “Only Murders in the Building,” “The Handmaid’s Tale,” and “What We Do in the Shadows.”
