Hrithik Roshan Talks ‘War 2’: ‘An Action Spectacle for People’ (EXCLUSIVE)

The renowned Bollywood star, Hrithik Roshan, is enjoying a wave of excitement following the release of the “War 2” teaser, as his reprisal of the character Kabir Dhaliwal, the super-spy, has set social media ablaze with activity.

On Tuesday, a preview for the upcoming film “War 2” was unveiled, showcasing a high-stakes clash between Roshan and the star of “RRR”, NTR Jr. This sneak peek has gathered an impressive 25 million views on platform X and 3 million on Instagram, across various languages.

The movie belongs to Yash Raj Films’ line of spy films, with “War 2” featuring Kiara Advani as the main female character, thus introducing her into this universe. This film is helmed by Ayan Mukerji, renowned for his work on the fantasy adventure “Brahmastra,” which makes it his inaugural project in the action-packed spy thriller category.

For Roshan, ‘War’ is a particularly cherished franchise. The enthusiastic response to the teaser of ‘War 2’ and the outpouring of affection towards NTR, Kiara, Ayan, and the entire team brings him immense joy. Making films of such grandeur isn’t effortless, but we have strived to create an action extravaganza in ‘War 2’ for the audience.

For Roshan, who has held a dominant position at the box office for several decades within the industry, the opportunity to reprise the role of Kabir Dhaliwal provided not only a chance to creatively satisfy himself but also to connect with his fans once more.

Produced by Aditya Chopra, a new spy world was launched with the Tiger series, featuring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif in “Ek Tha Tiger” (2012) and “Tiger Zinda Hai” (2017), and then “War” (2019) starring Roshan and Tiger Shroff. This was followed by “Pathaan,” starring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham in 2023, along with “Tiger 3.” The upcoming films include “Alpha,” a female-led film starring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari, scheduled after “War 2.” Lastly, we have “Tiger vs Pathaan,” a collaboration between Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan, which is also planned for release in 2023.

In the Tiger series, Salman Khan portrays Avinash Singh Rathore, also known as Tiger, a character from the Indian intelligence agency RAW. Kareena Kapoor Khan plays Zoya Humaini, who belongs to Pakistan’s ISI. In War, Hrithik Roshan takes on the role of rogue RAW agent Kabir Dhaliwal, while Shabana Azmi portrays his protégé Khalid Rahmani. In Pathaan, Shah Rukh Khan stars as exiled RAW agent Pathaan, and Deepika Padukone plays Rubina Mohsin, an ISI agent.

In the movie “Pathaan”, Tiger makes a more prominent appearance, while Colonel Sunil Luthra (played by Ashutosh Rana) also appears, having previously been seen in “War” and set to appear in “Tiger 3”. The character Pathaan had a cameo in “Tiger 2”, as did Kabir Dhaliwal.

The sequel to “War” is set to hit cinemas globally on August 14, offering viewers the opportunity to watch it in Hindi, Tamil, or Telugu.
