It appears that despite PC players not having played the first game yet, there’s strong indication that Stellar Blade 2 is being developed, as suggested by Shift Up. This has been noticed by Insider Gaming. In their May investor relations presentation, Shift Up shared information that might be considered dull to us, focusing on business matters. However, a slide in the strategy section caught our attention, which outlines a general roadmap for their games Nikke and Stellar Blade.
In the part dedicated to Stellar Blade, you’ll find a label named “platform expansion,” hinting at an upcoming PC version. Additionally, there’s clear mention of a “sequel.” This certainly suggests that a follow-up game might be on the horizon. The timeline provided, between the original release year (2024) and 2027, seems to indicate that Shift Up is aiming to launch a sequel by then.
As a gamer, I’m excited about the rumored Project Witches that seems to be in development before 2027. Unfortunately, there isn’t much information available yet, but it looks like they’re just starting out as only 18 people are working on it right now. This is quite a contrast to the large teams of 107 devs working on Stellar Blade and 148 on Nikke. Keep in mind that these numbers were from March 2025, so they may have changed since then. In any case, it seems we’ll need to wait a while longer for a proper reveal of Project Witches.
As for when the sequel will arrive on PC upon its release, I can’t provide an answer, but the action game is set to debut in about a month’s time. You’ll be able to purchase it for your PC on June 11th, albeit with some restrictions, as it’s currently region-specific. Fortunately, Shift Up is actively working to remove these limitations!
