Clash of Clans, launched as far back as 2012, stands among the most renowned and beloved mobile games globally. In this game, players construct a village and protect it from attacks.

As a dedicated fan, I’ve seen numerous spin-offs emerge, one of them being Clash Royale. Both the initial game and Clash Royale continue to hold their ground, consistently ranking among the top 35 most played free games on iOS platforms today.

In the past, Supercell produced a Super Bowl advertisement featuring Liam Neeson as part of their promotional campaign for Clash of Clans.

2016 saw Tencent acquire Supercell at a whopping cost of $8.6 billion, making it the third largest video game acquisition in history. This purchase falls behind only Take-Two’s acquisition of Zynga ($12.7 billion) and Microsoft’s buyout of Activision Blizzard ($75.4 billion).

Apart from Clash of Clans, Netflix is also working on several adaptations of popular video games. These include a Gears of War movie and TV series, as well as a collection of Assassin’s Creed projects.
