In the ongoing investigation by OFI, Kelly Severide uncovers evidence that Robert’s fuel line was deliberately severed, suggesting an attempt on his life. Due to Pascal’s relationship with the victim, he quickly becomes a person of interest. Matters worsen when Captain Tom Van Meter locates a tool from the Chicago Fire Department inside Robert’s car. Regrettably for Pascal, he lacks a solid alibi for the night of the accident. By the end of Chicago Fire season 13, episode 21, the police apprehend Pascal, placing him under custody.

This suggests that the mob could be setting up Pascal as retaliation for what occurred in Miami, and given this fresh predicament, it appears that more troubles lie ahead for him.
