- How to Find Relics
In Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon, players have the freedom to craft distinct characters due to the game’s extensive customization options. This individuality is achieved by selecting a multitude of magical spells, weapons, armor, and by allocating points towards different statistics.
Players can enhance their equipment’s performance by utilizing relics, uncommon items scattered throughout the game world that provide boosts to gear. These relics come in two varieties: Weapon Enhancements and Armor Reinforcements.
Upon getting hold of a Relic for the first time, you might find yourself pondering its purpose as the game isn’t particularly forthcoming about it. Here’s a quick guide on utilizing Relics in Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon:
1. To employ a Relic, simply click on it during your turn and choose the “Use” option.
2. Each Relic has unique abilities that can provide various benefits such as healing, boosting combat strength, or revealing hidden locations.
3. Keep in mind that using a Relic consumes its charge, so be strategic about when to use them. Some Relics recharge over time, while others require specific actions to regenerate their energy.
4. Relics are essential tools in your journey through Avalon, and mastering their use can give you the edge you need to overcome challenges.
How to Use Relics

In Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon, players have the ability to apply or utilize their Relics at Grindstone stations, which are typically situated within Blacksmiths. These workstations provide services such as inserting Relics, enhancing armor, lightening the burden of equipment, and crafting items by hand.
You’ll find the Blacksmith and Grindstone stand situated on the west side of the initial significant city, known as Horns of the South.
By engaging with the grindstone, you’ll encounter a menu displaying all the available services. Choose the “ ‘Affix Artifact’ ” option to access a list showcasing all your weapons and armor.
To proceed, simply choose the gear item where you wish to attach a Relic and pay the required gold to open a Relic slot. Typically, the price for creating a new Relic slot hovers around 500 gold.
After crafting a Relic slot, choose it to access the Relic interface, then pick the desired Relic to embed. Lastly, opt for engraving the chosen Relic onto the equipment item to activate its properties.
Players have the ability to attach up to two Relics to each of their weapons and armor. Importantly, Weapon Relics should be attached to weapons, while Armor Relics are meant for armor pieces. This detail is clearly stated on the Relic description cards.
How to Find Relics

Previously discussed, Relics are uncommon treasures you may stumble upon during your adventure in the game. Acquiring these artifacts isn’t guaranteed by any specific method, but I’ve found certain strategies seem to work more often.
Explore additional locations like mines, caves, and distinctive spots, taking the time to thoroughly check each nook and cranny. Don’t forget to inspect every crate and open any locked chests you encounter along the way, as this will help you find those valuable Relics.
Moreover, there is a possibility that you may acquire Relics when defeating opponents. It’s worth noting that common adversaries may occasionally drop Relics, but stronger and more elite enemies possess a higher probability of doing so. You can recognize an elite enemy by the black symbol in the center of their health bar.
Additionally, I suggest you consider taking on all available quests posted on the boards found in the game’s towns and cities. These places serve as the primary safe zones for each region, offering services such as the blacksmith, merchants, and bounty boards.
On each wanted poster, you’ll find approximately five missions to undertake. Typically, these involve tracking down and vanquishing an elite foe, often the chief of bandit groups or rival factions. Successfully completing these missions usually yields scarce treasures. Quite often, these missions will also result in a Relic being dropped.
To sum it up, you can obtain Relics just by progressing in the game. Sometimes, I stumbled upon them accidentally, which suggests that they might not require intentional searching, making it less challenging for you to find them.
