Alec Baldwin, Heather Graham, Simon Baker Among Hollywood Stars Heading to Filming Italy Sardegna

As a movie enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that I’ll be joining an impressive lineup of Hollywood stars at the upcoming 8th edition of the Filming Italy Sardegna festival. This event takes place from June 19-22 on the beautiful island of Sardinia, and I can hardly wait! Some of the talented individuals gracing us with their presence include Alec Baldwin, Heather Graham, Simon Baker, and Cuba Gooding Jr., making this a must-attend event for any film buff like myself.

Actors Baldwin (known for “Rust” and “Saturday Night Live”) and Graham (“The Hangover,” “Chosen Family”) will be part of a jury focused on short films at an upcoming festival. The president of this jury is Micaela Ramazzotti from Italy, who has worked on “Like Crazy.” Other members include Rocío Muñoz Morales from Spain, Riccardo Milani and Aurora Giovinazzo from Italy, Giacomo Giorgio, professor Massimo Arcangeli, Andrea Minuz, and Tiziana Rocca. The latter is the marketing expert who founded the Taormina Film Festival eight years ago and currently heads it. This festival’s short film competition is its only competitive section.

Some of the locally premiering films at the fest include Steven Soderbergh’s horror movie “Presence” featuring Lucy Liu and Chris Sullivan; the spy story “Reflection in a Dead Diamond,” styled by Hélène Cattet and Bruno Forzani, starring Fabio Testi, an Italian screen legend; and the martial arts film “Karate Kid: Legends,” directed by Jonathan Entwistle from the USA.

Or,

In this local fest, there are several films premiering, such as Steven Soderbergh’s horror movie “Presence” with Lucy Liu and Chris Sullivan, Hélène Cattet and Bruno Forzani’s stylish spy story titled “Reflection in a Dead Diamond” featuring Fabio Testi, an Italian icon, and the U.S. martial arts film “Karate Kid: Legends,” directed by Jonathan Entwistle.

The inaugural film at the festival will be the heartwarming Italian movie “Poveri Noi,” directed by Fabrizio Maria Cortese and featuring Paolo Ruffini, Ricky Memphis, Ilaria Spada, and Maria Grazia Cucinotta (“Il Postino”) as its stars. This film carries a theme of friendship.

The main features for the forthcoming edition of the festival were revealed at a press gathering held during the Cannes Film Festival. At this event, Rocca mentioned that she would soon be disclosing numerous prominent celebrities, along with a diverse selection of films and discussions. In addition, Rocca emphasized Filming Italy Sardegna’s dedication to fostering Italian and global cinema, nurturing emerging talents, and encouraging more engaging conversations between culture, the industry, and spectators.
