“The Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender” is being pushed back from Jan. 30 to Oct. 9, 2026.
Paramount Pictures has made an adjustment to their release schedule. Originally planned for October 9, 2026, the second installment of “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem” has been pushed back a year and is now slated to premiere on September 17, 2027. On the other hand, “Paw Patrol: The Dino Movie,” which was originally scheduled for release on July 31, 2026, will now open in cinemas a week earlier, starting from July 24, 2026.
Previously mentioned, Dave Bautista, Steven Yeun, and Eric Nam have been confirmed as the main voices in “The Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender”. Co-directing this production will be Lauren Montgomery and William Mata.
The story unfolds some time after the happenings in “Avatar: The Last Airbender” of 2005, where we followed Aang, a rediscovered Avatar who was 12 at the time, as he honed his ability to control the elements and ultimately rescued Earth from the relentless Fire Nation.
In a forthcoming development, the TMNT sequel is being handled by Point Grey Pictures with Jeff Rowe at the helm as both director and co-writer of “Mutant Mayhem.” Simultaneously, Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon Movies are working on a two-season television series, which they envision as a narrative link between the movies. This spinoff series is called “Tales of The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” and will stream exclusively on Paramount+. Micah Abbey, Shamon Brown Jr., Nicolas Cantu, and Brady Noon are expected to reprise their roles in this continuation.
In a slight schedule change, “Paw Patrol” is set to debut a week earlier than originally planned. The new episode will see appearances by Jameela Jamil, Terry Crews, Paris Hilton, Snoop Dogg, Bill Nye, Meredith MacNeill, and long-time “PAW Patrol” character Ron Pardo. Previously announced cast members Lucien Duncan-Reid and Nylan Parthipan will reprise their roles as the popular pups Rubble and Zuma, with Carter Young stepping in as Marshall, Hayden Chemberlen as Rex, Rain Janjua as Chase, William Desrosiers as Rocky, and Henry Bolan as Ryder.
This production is being overseen by Jennifer Dodge, Laura Clunie, and Toni Stevens at Spin Master Entertainment, with Ronnen Harary serving as executive producer from Spin Master. It’s also in partnership with Nickelodeon Movies.
