The latest installment in the horror franchise that started 25 years ago, known as “ Final Destination: Bloodlines “, is projected to exceed expectations and perform exceptionally well during its opening weekend at the box office in 2025, according to recent reports.
To date, the preview earnings for New Line’s movie “Final Destination: Bloodlines” stand at $5.5 million, as reported by Warner Bros. This surpasses the earnings of this year’s popular vampire horror film, which grossed $4.7 million from its previews.
The earnings of Bloodlines are approximately $100,000 more than the initial predictions for 2018’s spinoff of The Conjuring, titled The Nun. During its opening weekend, The Nun managed to make $53 million, and it was distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures as well.
The Opening Weekend Could Set a Franchise Record
According to estimates, “Bloodlines” is projected to make between $35 and $40 million during its debut weekend. If these figures hold true, it would set a new record for the highest opening weekend in the horror genre, surpassing the 2000 release that currently holds

Tony Todd’s Final Film Role
The series Bloodlines is set to bring back the character of William Bludworth for his final appearance. In an interview, directors Adam Stein and Zach Lipovsky hinted that Todd will rejoin the horror series, suggesting that the upcoming film will unveil the character’s background and the reason behind his extensive understanding of death.
Stein shared his enthusiasm about delving into the enigmatic character of Bludworth, saying, “There have been countless speculations over the years about what Bludworth is.” He continued, “We unravel the reasons behind Bludworth’s knowledge of death, his interest in people’s premonitions, and the significance of it all. Todd was particularly thrilled to flesh out Bludworth as a fully developed character rather than just a cryptic mentor figure. This intriguing concept really struck a chord with him.
