It’s been reported that Akatsuki Games has shared the news about the closure of their free-to-play extreme action RPG, Tribe Nine, which was recently released on Steam and mobile platforms. The game will be officially taken offline on November 27.
According to the recent announcement, it’s been confirmed that Tribe Nine Chapter 4 won’t be released as part of the main storyline. Additionally, all future updates and content releases, which were initially planned, have been called off. Furthermore, the Steam news post states that previously announced in-game improvements and fixes will not be carried out.
At the moment, you can access Tribe Nine on your personal computer through Steam, on Android devices via Google Play, and for iOS users, it’s accessible through the App Store.
You can find the full announcement of the service ending via the Steam page below:
Dear Player,
We appreciate your ongoing engagement with Tribe Nine. It’s with a heavy heart that we have to announce the termination of Tribe Nine services, scheduled for November 27, 2025 (Japan Standard Time).
Since its launch, our dedicated development and operation teams have worked tirelessly to enhance your gaming experience. After thorough deliberation, we’ve made the tough decision to conclude the game’s service.
Regrettably, we won’t be able to release Chapter 4 of the story as previously announced. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and for the abrupt nature of this announcement.
Details about the termination schedule and related procedures will be communicated via in-game notices and our official website.
Thank you once again for your support, and we hope to see you in future endeavors.
Regarding Future Updates and New Content
Starting on May 14, 2025 at 10:00 PM Pacific Time, all planned updates and fresh content launches have been postponed or suspended. Furthermore, any new features, changes, or bug fixes that were previously communicated through in-game announcements will not be rolled out.
Regarding Unreleased Characters
Due to a shift in plans, the entry of characters Ichinosuke Akiba and Saizo Akiba into the game, previously planned for release, has been scrapped along with it. As a result, any Paid Enigma Entities used to access Armed Support, Advanced Support, or purchase Contract Levels within “Support Contract – Revenio”, where Saizo Akiba’s Skin was obtainable, will be returned to your account. Refunds for the Paid Enigma Entities will begin once “Support Contract – Revenio” concludes.
Purchases of Items within the App or through the Web Store
Effective from May 14, 2025 at 22:00 GMT-8, we will stop selling Enigma Entities and Daily Passes. However, you can still utilize your existing Enigma Entities after this date. We hope you’ll continue to enjoy Tribe Nine as our service is scheduled to end on November 27, 2025 JST.
