‘American Vandal’ Star Tyler Alvarez Joins Ensemble of ‘Corporate Retreat’ (EXCLUSIVE)

Tyler Alvarez has joined the ensemble cast of the horror-thriller “Corporate Retreat.”

The upcoming movie, slated to start filming in June, features Alan Ruck (known for “Succession”), Ashton Sanders (“Moonlight”), Rosanna Arquette (“Pulp Fiction”), Simona Tabasco (“The White Lotus”) and Odeya Rush (“Lady Bird”). This movie is under the direction of Aaron Fisher, who collaborated with Kerri Lee Romeo on the screenplay. Uri Singer’s Passage Pictures is responsible for its production.

At an isolated desert getaway for business elites, the attendees anticipate opulence and professional development. However, upon arrival they discover that they’ve unwittingly fallen into a macabre psychological test designed by a sinister ex-CEO with cultish tendencies. The participants are compelled to either confront their deepest imperfections or face the consequences of failure.

Alvarez is primarily recognized for his main character portrayal as Peter Maldonado in Netflix’s mockumentary series “American Vandal.” Following this, he has appeared in other productions such as “Blockbuster” alongside Randall Park on Netflix, the romantic-comedy “Crush” with Rowan Blanchard and Auli’i Cravalho on Hulu, and in a recurring part of the popular Netflix comedy “Never Have I Ever.” Upcoming, Alvarez will feature in Sam Hayes’ independent film “Pools,” alongside Odessa A’Zion and Mason Gooding. This movie had its North American debut as part of TIFF’s Next Wave program.
