Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter’s Japanese PS5 and Switch versions will not include English language support

After revealing the official launch dates, Falcom has clarified that the Japanese releases of Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter for both PS5 and Switch won’t feature English language support.

Previously, it was typical for Falcom games to come out in Japan first before being released in the West, often with a delay of a few years or more. However, Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter marks a departure from this trend as it is Falcom’s first game to be launched simultaneously worldwide across multiple platforms. Additionally, some other publishers such as Square Enix, Arc System Works, and even Sony have released Japanese physical and digital console versions that include English language options. This practice has been observed in releases like Rise of the Ronin.
