Morgan Wallen Explains SNL Walk-Off: ‘I Was Just Ready to Go Home’

Morgan Wallen is set to appear on his upcoming performance titled “I’m the Problem” on May 16th. For the first time since leaving New York, he spoke about his controversial exit from Saturday Night Live on the podcast Sundae Conversation, known for hosting conversations with contentious celebrities like DaBaby, Aaron Rodgers, and Jake Paul. In response to a question about his SNL walk-off, Wallen explained that he was simply eager to return home after spending a week in New York. Johnson quipped, “Can you imagine that? Big Mac and a hula skirt.” He added, “Get me to God’s country, right? Remember that?” It’s possible that Wallen was referring to the Ethel Cain song titled “God’s Country” instead of the actual islands. Perhaps they should get him an “Support the Dolls” T-shirt promptly.
