I’m really looking forward to many of the high-profile films scheduled for release in 2025, especially since I’m a fan of premium cinema experiences. In fact, I can hardly wait for my most eagerly anticipated movies of the year! After watching Marvel’s Thunderbolts* in both 3D and 4DX formats, complete with premium format trailers, that’s all I can talk about.
Looking forward to upcoming movies like Tron: Ares and a few others on my list has grown more exciting in recent months. To make it even sweeter, there was also a promotional reel for a summer release that holds special significance. However, before we dive into the future, let’s acknowledge some exceptional parts of director Jake Schreier’s 4DX-enhanced addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
After Thunderbolts* In 4DX, I Feel Like Florence Pugh Beat ME Up
As a movie enthusiast, I’d say the 3D experience in “Thunderbolts” (or “The New Avengers,” if you prefer) wasn’t your typical exhaustive analysis, but it was certainly commendable. The brightness could have been brighter during some scenes, particularly during the climax, which made it a bit challenging. However, the visual elements were well-executed, especially for those who enjoy the thrill of 3D bullets coming at them!
If you’re planning to watch this movie in 3D, consider upgrading to 4DX as well. I recommend this because although Yelena Belova (played by Florence Pugh) is the main character, she truly shines in the premium format version. With many of the actions centered around intense fight scenes, you’ll experience a wide range of physical sensations such as vibration and motion, making it feel like you’re the ex-Widow yourself!

How to Train Your Dragon’s 4DX ‘Test Drive’ Made Me Emotional
Discussing anticipation, the 4DX showing of *The New Avengers began by showcasing a promotional video that builds excitement for the format and a particular movie. Typically found in 4DX screenings, the live-action adaptation of How to Train Your Dragon is currently the film with this special treatment. Given my existing enthusiasm for this movie, I didn’t believe it was possible to become even more thrilled about director Dean DeBlois’ real-life reinterpretation.
In retrospect, I should have anticipated the use of the “Test Drive” scene from the 2010 original in the How to Train Your Dragon trailer, as it was cleverly employed to highlight the power of 4DX in this film. Every time I watch Hiccup (Mason Thames) flying through the air on Toothless, my emotions are stirred, and the experience is so immersive that it brings tears to my eyes.

Jurassic World Rebirth’s Dinosaurs Feel More Dangerous In 4DX
As a cinephile who grew up with the Jurassic Park Universe shaping my cinematic journey, I’ve always been eager to defend its lesser-loved entries, much like how ardent Marvel fans stick up for films that may not resonate with everyone in the MCU. So, it’s no surprise that my anticipation for the dinosaur migrations featured in Jurassic World: Dominion this summer remains high as ever.
In terms of the immersive 4DX experience for this potential box-office hit, I must say that the gentle rocking motion of the seats upon our introduction to the Titanosaurus left quite an impression. Additionally, the bursts of air accompanying gunfire seemed particularly poignant in this instance, as Scarlett Johansson’s battle against mutated dinosaurs was followed by Florence Pugh’s equally powerful performance in a similar vein during Thunderbolts*.

F1’s Gonna Blow The Doors Off Of 4DX’s Motion Seating
Joseph Kosinski’s film “F1” is often highlighted due to its “Filmed For IMAX” label, and justifiably so. Nevertheless, I prefer to watch “F1” in a 4DX theater for a particular reason – the motion seats. During my last visit to the cinema before the release of “Thunderbolts,” I experienced the latest trailer for Brad Pitt’s racing drama on their 4DX system, and the motion was so intense that it could potentially match the incredible 4DX experience of “Twister.
Additionally, they activated the stage lights in the theater to mimic press conference scenes and flashed the iconic Jerry Bruckheimer Productions logo, demonstrating a high level of precision. If it were possible to combine IMAX’s expansive visuals with 4DX’s immersive effects, my experience as a moviegoer would be significantly enhanced.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps Sold Me On An Unexpected 4DX Delight
As more major movies are adding 4DX experiences to their release strategies along with 3D, it’s exciting to see trailers like The Fantastic Four: First Steps, even though this is one of the first non-Silver Surfer trailers we’ve had in a while. However, I’m particularly looking forward to seeing the iconic Fantasticar on the big screen again, as it will be making its comeback with this version enhanced for 3D and 4DX!
Just as the thrilling motion-seat experience in the F1 trailer captivated me before its release, the latest version of the iconic car belonging to Marvel’s First Family of Superheroes whizzed past me through the streets of New York. I’m ready to discuss financing options for one of these marvelous vehicles at my local Marvel Motors dealership, should I not be fortunate enough to obtain the ultimate dream vehicle from the upcoming film we’re discussing. In other words, if I can’t get the star car from the final movie, perhaps I can find a financing solution for one at the nearest Marvel Motors showroom.

Tron: Ares’s 3D/4DX Trailer Is Everything I’ve Been Waiting For
I can’t help but express my strong desire for a re-release of “Tron: Legacy” in IMAX 3D, as the breathtaking experience it provided me back in 2010 has left an indelible mark on me. However, after catching a glimpse of the trailer for “Tron: Ares” in the immersive 4DX format, I find myself yearning for a transformation of Sam Flynn’s journey through The Grid that fully utilizes this cutting-edge premium experience. It would indeed be intriguing to pair such an upgrade with director Joachim Rønning’s upcoming three-quel, which promises to be visually captivating in its 3D hybrid release.
Experiencing a lightcycle ride was definitely an advantage, but what truly took me aback was a scene suggesting someone getting “erased,” accompanied by a splash of water. If they could increase the volume of that Nine Inch Nails music and the intensity of the projector’s brightness just a bit more, I would find myself in a blissful state of biotechnological ecstasy.

2025 brings more 4DX-enhanced films to the schedule beyond what’s already listed, with “Lilo & Stitch”, “Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning”, and “Superman” among them. If you’re a fan of premium movie formats like myself, it would be wise to monitor your local listings closely, especially since many of these films are now on sale for advance tickets.
Absolutely! After enjoying the excitement and action, return to TopMob to find out if the additional cost for 3D or 4DX versions of these blockbusters is justified. I’m confident even The New Avengers and Sam Wilson would concur. Until our next encounter…End of Line.
