This game was initially announced for the Switch 2 back in April and it has now been confirmed that a physical edition of Civilization VII will be available for $70 on the Switch 2. However, it’s important to note that this physical edition is just a box containing a code. If you prefer owning the game’s box for your collection, you can pre-order Sid Meier’s Civilization VII – Switch 2 Edition at Amazon now.
Keep in mind that if you currently have the traditional or digital version of Civilization for the original Nintendo Switch, you can upgrade to the Switch 2 Edition for only $10 through the Switch 2 online store. If you’d like to save approximately $10, consider purchasing a physical copy of Civilization VI on Switch, which is now available for $51 (originally priced at $60) at Amazon or Walmart. You can then upgrade to the Switch 2 Edition starting from June 5.

This special edition includes additional content such as the Tecumseh and Shawnee Pack, the Crossroads of the World Collection, and the Deluxe Content Pack.
