In the exciting world of Overwatch 2, the characters are preparing to unleash their hidden fighting spirit, as Blizzard Entertainment and Capcom have revealed that a collaboration between Overwatch 2 and Street Fighter 6 will be taking place shortly.
At EVO Japan, a trailer for an animation was unveiled featuring Juno donning Chun Li’s attire and engaging in street fights against Widowmaker, who is also known as Cammy. Not too long after, Hanzo appeared, sporting Ryo’s distinctive style, and launched a Hadoken, escalating the 1-on-1 battle into an intense melee.
The cross-over event kicks off on May 20th, featuring a total of eight character skins – notably more than our recent collaborations with Gundam Wing and Avatar: The Last Airbender. Here’s the complete lineup of Overwatch characters who will receive their Street Fighter makeovers.

In the animated trailer, each character’s skin is briefly shown and seems to embody the essence of Capcom’s fighting game flawlessly. Sigma portraying M. Bison and Zenyatta as Dhalsim are logical choices, while Hanzo’s Japanese background makes him a fitting counterpart for Ryu.
In the trailer, Blizzard hasn’t disclosed specifics about the pricing or the freebies that players can expect during the event. However, towards the end, Hanzo is seen executing a Hadoken, Shoryuken, and Tatsumaki Senpu-kyaku, which could imply that each collaboration skin will include some of the Street Fighter characters’ signature moves in the form of emotes. But for now, we’ll need to be patient as more details are yet to come.
In the latest development, Overwatch 2 kicked off Season 16, introducing a new damage-dealing character, Freya, and incorporating the third-person Stadium mode. On the other hand, June 5 marks the arrival of a fresh playable fighter, Elena, in Street Fighter 6.
