Falcom Corporation, known for its work, has declared that it will launch the PlayStation 5 versions of “The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel III“, “Trails of Cold Steel IV”, and “Trails into Reverie” in Japan on August 21st. The games will be available both physically and digitally. They’ve also created a new official webpage for the upcoming PlayStation 5 releases.
As a gaming enthusiast, I’ve got some exciting news! If you’re keeping track, the native PS5 versions for all three games – Trails into Reverie, Trails of Cold Steel III, and IV – have been out in the West for quite some time now. And guess what? They didn’t stop there. In February 2024, they also moved Trails of Cold Steel III and IV to the PS5! So, grab your DualSense controllers and let’s dive into these fantastic games on our trusty PlayStation 5!
Previously, PlayStation 4 editions of these games were playable on PlayStation 5 due to backward compatibility. However, until this announcement, there had been no official confirmation in Japan about the native PS5 versions. Nihon Falcom hasn’t specified yet whether players who have progressed on the PS4 versions can transfer their save data to the native PS5 editions. Instead, they only provided a brief overview of each game’s storyline and announced exclusive pre-order goods for the physical copies that can be purchased from specific stores.
