Masked Singer Winner SHOCKS Fans! See the Wild Finale Reveals!

⚠️ Attention: Here’s a spoiler about the finale of Season 13, Episode 13 of “The Masked Singer” titled “Fortunate Season 13 Conclusion,” which aired on May 7th on Fox.

As a devoted moviegoer, I can’t forget that mere moments ago, the soulful voice of country singer Gretchen Wilson found herself in a wheelchair, her left leg shattered, both legs bones broken, and her ankle damaged. In her own words, “I was confined to a wheelchair for approximately eight months.” Remarkably, she was barely out of her walking boot when she made the decision to take on the show.

In her conversation, she mentioned “The Masked Singer” television show, and during its Season 13 finale on Wednesday, Wilson emerged as the victor, performing as Pearl. She commented, “It offered me a genuine opportunity to verify if I still have my talent.” The question now lies between focusing on the next decade professionally or considering retirement over the next decade.

In her discussion, she brought up “The Masked Singer” TV show, and in its Season 13 finale on Wednesday, Wilson clinched the title as Pearl. She stated, “It provided me with a genuine chance to determine if I’ve still got what it takes.” The question now is whether to concentrate on the next ten years professionally or consider retirement over the next decade.

Wilson emerged victorious in the end, claiming the title on Season 13 of Fox’s “The Masked Singer.” In addition to him, the season finale unveiled the identities of its other finalists: Andy Grammer (known for his hit song “Honey, I’m Good”), who was under the mask of Boogie Woogie; Meg Donnelly (“Zombies” fame) as Coral; and Brian Kelley from Florida Georgia Line, who was disguised as Mad Scientist Monster.

Pearl’s identity was discovered:
1. Robin Thicke revealed it was Gretchen Wilson.
2. Ken Jeong believed it was Ann Wilson.
3. Rita Ora chose Natalie Maines from the Chicks.
4. Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg pointed to Trisha Yearwood.

As a movie enthusiast, I’ve often pondered about my place in the spotlight, especially when opportunities like “The Masked Singer” came knocking. Questions swirled through my mind: Am I too seasoned for such a vibrant spectacle? What are the odds of success? But this time, things felt different. It was as if the universe had aligned, offering a fresh start amidst health battles and personal transformations. I found myself contemplating the remaining chapters of my career. Then, it hit me – this could be an exhilarating adventure, a chance to prove that age is just a number and experience counts for so much more. So, when I weighed the risks against the thrill, I decided to embrace the challenge. It wasn’t typically my style, but once I arrived on set and witnessed the grueling work and sheer determination required to excel on this show, I knew it was time to give it my all and fight for the victory!

In the case of Boogie Woogie, there seemed to be a misunderstanding. McCarthy-Wahlberg chose Ryan Tedder, while Thicke believed it could possibly be Daniel Powter. Jeong opted for Ed Sheeran and Ora suggested Darren Criss instead.

In the case of Coral, Ora selected Meg Donnelly as her choice, while McCarthy-Wahlberg believed it to be Hailee Steinfeld. Thicke thought it was Brittany Snow, and Jeong chose Peyton List.

In the case of the fictional character Mad Scientist Monster, opinions differed among McCarthy-Wahlberg (who believed it to be Brian Kelley), Ora (who thought it might be Sam Hunt), Thicke (who stated it was Trace Adkins), and Jeong (who guessed Kane Brown).

In the exciting finale of Season 13, the last four competitors remained: Coral from Group A, Pearl and Boogie Woogie from Group B, and Mad Scientist Monster from Group C. The episode started with panelist Rita Ora performing “Pink Pony Club,” a song by Chappell Roan, alongside the finalists.

Following their rescue during the previous week’s semifinals, courtesy of “Lucky Duck” (Taika Waititi), they regrouped and prepared for a two-hour battle in the grand finale.

Initially, the Mad Scientist Monster was knocked out as the third place non-winner. Following that, Coral also failed to win, securing the position of second place non-winner. In the end, Pearl and Boogie Woogie battled it out in a closing act. Boogie Woogie chose to sing “Love The Hell Out of You,” by Lewis Capaldi, whereas Pearl opted for “I’ll Stand By You,” by The Pretenders. Eventually, Pearl took home the Golden Mask trophy as the winner.

In “The Masked Singer” Season 13, Gretchen Wilson was revealed to be Pearl, Andy Grammer under the mask of Boogie Woogie, Meg Donnelly disguised as Coral, Brian Kelly unmasked as Mad Scientist Monster, Taika Waititi known as Lucky Duck, Edwin McCain appeared as Nessy, Matthew Lawrence was Paparazzo, Erika Jayne unveiled as Yorkie, Method Man behind the mask of Stud Muffin, Candace Cameron Bure under the disguise of Cherry Blossom, James Van Der Beek as Griffin, Flavor Flav wearing the Space Ranger costume, Sheana Shay as Bat, Aubrey O’Day as Ant, Oscar de la Hoya behind the mask of Fuzzy Peas, and Cedric the Entertainer was Honey Pot.

For Season 13, we’ve got our host Nick Cannon back, joined by regular panelists Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg, Ken Jeong, Rita Ora (who is returning for her third consecutive season, stepping in for Nicole Scherzinger), and Robin Thicke.

Additionally introduced: The “Crack the Case” hints, which provide extra insights into the eliminated contestant. For instance, for Mad Scientist Monster, it was a fish necklace, symbolizing his deep connection to nature as he grew up near the water and enjoyed fishing with his father. Similarly, Coral’s hint was a cheerleader outfit, representing a turning point in her life that allowed her to pursue her dreams. Boogie Woogie’s clue was a pink ribbon, signifying his personal battle against breast cancer and his efforts to raise funds and awareness for the cause. Lastly, Pearl received a pair of pants from Dolly Parton, a significant keepsake as it not only came from her idol but also allowed her to perform alongside Dolly while wearing them!

Simultaneously, the Golden Ear trophy was once again up for grabs among the panelists, with the individual having the highest number of correct predictions this season set to claim it.

In the exciting Season 13 of “The Masked Singer,” I’ve had the pleasure of participating in episodes that paid homage to beloved franchises like “Shrek” and “Ghostbusters.” Furthermore, as we celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Grand Ole Opry, it’s a privilege to be part of the festivities. There are more exciting themes lined up, such as a tribute to the Rat Pack, “Voices of Olympus: The Unmasking of the Gods,” “Carnival,” “Boy Bands,” “Decades,” “Lucky 6,” an epic “Clash of the Masks,” and the highly-anticipated return of “Soundtrack of My Life.

13th season contestants were disguised as Honey Pot, Astronaut, Cherry Blossom, Coral, Green Peas (with Fuzz), Ant, Photographer, Griffin, Boogie-Woogie dancer, Pearl, Bat, Yorkshire Terrier, Stud Muffin, Loch Ness Monster, and Mad Scientist.

Here were the performances on Wednesday’s Episode 13, “Lucky Season 13 Finale”:

Pearl

Song: “Black Horse and the Cherry Tree,” by KT Tunstall

Panel guesses: Kacey Musgraves, Pat Benatar, Madonna

Pearl’s voiceover: “Each time I don this Pearl outfit, it feels oddly surreal that I’ve managed to embody this bedazzled princess. It’s so far from my norm. In truth, the hoodie and sweatpants are more in tune with who I am. You see, I’m rough-around-the-edges, authentic, uncompromising. I’ve always been that way. And at times, particularly during my early days, it hindered my progress. I recall a distinct moment when I was performing for a record executive. As I glanced sideways, I noticed him scribbling down “N—O.” I felt the brink of tears, ready to spill forth. But I simply shut my eyes and persevered, completing the audition. To my surprise, what he’d written was actually “N—O—W” — “sign her now.” How one letter can alter the narrative! And even after all these years, I believe many still underestimate my abilities. Here, though, I’ve been able to step out of my comfort zone and display my versatility. Tonight, I’m hoping for another W. Because winning that golden mask trophy would mean everything to me.

As a film buff reminiscing about the past, I can’t help but recall an array of tunes that used to play in my favorite flicks: “Saving All My Love For You,” Whitney Houston’s soulful melody; “Don’t Fear The Reaper” by Blue Oyster Cult, a classic that still sends chills down my spine; Dolly Parton’s heartwarming serenade, “Here You Come Again”; the infectious rhythm of Gloria Estefan and Miami Sound Machine’s “Conga”; The Outfield’s catchy tune, “Your Love”; and Lesley Gore’s empowering anthem, “You Don’t Own Me.

Coral

Song: “Moon River,” by Audrey Hepburn

Panel guesses: Rachel Ziegler, Meg Donnelly, Sofia Carson, Dove Cameron, Hailee Steinfeld

Narrator’s voice: “Once upon a time, as a young girl, I harbored dreams of being like Audrey Hepburn in ‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s.’ Gazing from afar at the glamorous world of old Hollywood, longing to be a part of it someday. And my dream came true when I joined one of the most prominent franchises ever. Now, there are girls watching me, and it feels unreal! But I wasn’t content with just that. For years, I yearned to share my music and become a pop star. However, people only saw me as ‘that girl from those movies.’ The Masked Singer was the ideal platform for me when I needed to prove myself. Here, I got the chance to demonstrate that I am more than just an actress – I’m a triple threat! I’ve evolved so much since I started this journey. I’ve discovered my self-assurance, broadened my abilities, and even learned that I can do it all in knee-high boots! Tonight, I dream of winning the trophy. Winning it would send me over the moon.

Boogie Woogie

Song: “Freedom! ’90,” by George Michael

Panel guesses: Ryan Tedder, Darren Criss, Charlie Puth

“Before arriving here, I enjoyed watching Masked Singer at home and thought it looked like a fantastic experience. However, it’s turned out to be much more than that. Becoming Boogie has been an incredible source of joy, but it’s also stirred up a lot of emotions. You see, when I was just starting out, I was struggling as a starving artist, practicing in my small apartment for no one while telling my family not to give up on me. I believed I had what it takes. But one day, a neighbor knocked on my door and told me, ‘Your voice is terrible. Give up on your dream.’ Their words hurt me deeply, but they couldn’t deter me. Now that I’m a dad, I would do anything to protect my kids from rejection. But I realized that an essential part of life is learning how to persevere through adversity. There’s always beauty waiting on the other side. You find yourself where you’re meant to be, like me tonight. And if I can win the Golden Mask trophy, it would serve as a powerful message for my kids that no dream should ever be abandoned.

Mad Scientist Monster

Song: “Stay,” by Sugarland

Panel guesses: Sam Hunt, Brian Kelley, Gary LeVox

Mad Scientist (in a more conversational tone): Actually, making music wasn’t something I had planned. I was aiming for a career in sports instead. But life didn’t turn out as expected and I found myself at a loss. It was my father who inspired me to venture into an unconventional path. And boy, I’m glad I did! Seeing him beam with pride over the years has been the driving force behind all my efforts. When my band disbanded, it was my father again who provided the courage to step out on my own. This journey here has been a unique chance for me to reintroduce myself to the world. The positive response I’ve received has felt validating and exhilarating. It’s made me question if going solo might not have been the best decision after all. As we reach the finale, I feel more convinced than ever that I’m on the right track. I’ll always be grateful to The Masked Singer for giving me this chance to showcase my talent independently.

Songs heard before: “Unwell” by Matchbox Twenty, “I Swear” by All-4-One, “Love Yourself” by Justin Bieber, “There’s Nothing Holdin’ Me Back” by Shawn Mendes, “The Scientist” by Coldplay and “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” by Shaboozey.
