According to our sources, the television adaptation of Elle Kennedy’s “Off Campus” book series for Amazon has brought on board seven main cast members, as per our latest findings.
For the show initially announced in October, the following actors have been selected for their roles: Ella Bright (known from “The Crown” and “Malory Towers”) will portray Hannah, Belmont Camelli (famous for “Until Dawn” and “Saved by the Bell”) is cast as Garrett, Mika Abdalla (“Snack Shack,” “Sex Appeal”) has been chosen to play Allie, Antonio Cipriano (“Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin,” “National Treasure: Edge of History”) will take on the role of Logan, Jalen Thomas Brooks (seen in “The Pitt” and “Thanksgiving”) is set to appear as Tucker, Josh Heuston (“Dune: Prophecy,” “Heartbreak High”) has been chosen for Justin, and Stephen Kalyn (“Gen V,” “Motorheads”) will step into the character of Dean.
This show is about an unconventional romance between a sarcastic music major (Bright) who dislikes hockey, and a popular hockey player (Camelli) from Briar University. The series focuses on their elite ice hockey team, as well as the women in their lives, dealing with love, heartbreak, and self-discovery. They forge strong friendships and lasting bonds while navigating the challenges of growing up, all while experiencing the intricacies of adulthood.
The initial series of the program is set to adapt the first novel, called “The Deal,” that was released in 2015.
Louisa Levy is transforming the books for television, taking on roles as executive producer and co-showrunner. Similarly, Gina Fattore will serve in these same capacities. The production company Temple Hill, represented by Wyck Godfrey, Marty Bowen, James Seidman, Leanna Billings from Billings Productions, Neal Flaherty, and Silver Tree, are also executive producers. Annika Patton of Temple Hill serves as a producer. Kennedy and Amazon MGM Studios will also produce the project.
