Armie Hammer Confuses Fans With Movie Poster for New Safdie Bros. Movie, But It’s Not Real

Armie Hammer has not actually teamed up with the Safdie brothers, contrary to speculation raised by a mysterious Instagram post suggesting they were collaborating together.

On a Monday afternoon, Hammer uploaded a movie poster to his Instagram, hinting at an upcoming production titled “Persona Non Grata,” which is being directed by the team behind “Uncut Gems,” Josh and Benny Safdie. The caption read simply, “Fall 2026.

Contrary to numerous enthusiastic remarks about Hammer, EbMaster learns from representatives of Benny and Josh Safdie that the project is merely fictitious.

Or simply:

EbMaster discovers from the reps of Benny and Josh Safdie that the buzz surrounding Hammer’s project is unfounded, as it turns out to be a figment of imagination.

Actor Hammer, known for movies such as “The Social Network” and “Call Me By Your Name,” faced a setback in his career approximately four years back due to accusations of sexual misconduct.

In 2021, Hammer faced allegations of sexual misconduct and inappropriate behavior from various women. Furthermore, leaked conversations suggested he had discussed cannibalistic desires and unusual sexual preferences with them online. As a result of the ensuing scandal, his management agency, WME, cut ties with him, and he withdrew from multiple projects such as “The Offer” on Paramount+ and “Shotgun Wedding” produced by Jennifer Lopez.

As a passionate cinephile, I’m thrilled to share that the actor who graced our screens alongside William H. Macy in “Frontier Crucible” last year, will be starring next in Uwe Boll’s “Citizen Vigilante.” Can’t wait to see his performance!

More recently, on an episode of “Your Mom’s House” podcast, Hammer admitted that his acting career has taken off to such an extent that he’s started to decline job offers.

He expressed that his schedule for dance engagements has become quite busy. Reflecting on a job he declined recently, after four years of hard work, he said it was the most satisfying feeling ever. Nowadays, when his name is mentioned in professional circles, people often say, ‘That guy got cheated.’ This validation makes him feel great and motivates him immensely.
