In this installment, our characters, Sarah Lance, Charlie, and John Constantine, stumbled upon Dean Winchester’s cherished vehicle, a 1967 Chevrolet Impala known as Baby. This iconic car holds a special place in the heart of the character from Supernatural, and it was brilliantly utilized in this episode by Legends of Tomorrow.

In its own unique style, Legends of Tomorrow takes a metatextual approach during its Supernatural crossover. Within the universe of Legends of Tomorrow, the series is indeed legendary. Sarah Lance discovers that Supernatural is shooting season 15 at their location, and she dreams about encountering the Winchester brothers. She confides in John Constantine about the corpse in Baby’s backseat being merely a prop. Unsurprisingly, Sarah, Charlie, and John come across deceased members of the Supernatural crew, with Sarah expressing her main worry as to who is responsible for filming the season.

Playing more for amusement than not, the appearance of the well-known Chevy Impala in an Arrowverse project feels a tad dreamlike. To put it simply, both Supernatural and The CW’s DC universe are cornerstones of the network’s extensive library, consistently ranking among the finest shows produced by The CW. The self-referential humor aligns with the style that Legends of Tomorrow has embraced throughout its seven-season journey, making it an ideal fit for a show like this one.

Supernatural Actors Have A Long History With DC Properties

On occasion, Supernatural has intersected with DC not just through Dean’s Baby, but also by featuring numerous actors in different DC-related projects. For instance, Jensen Ackles voiced the Red Hood (Jason Todd) in the animated film Batman: Under the Red Hood and played multiple roles as Batman within DC’s Tomorrowverse of animated movies. More recently, Misha Collins portrayed Harvey Dent on The CW’s Gotham Knights.

Among all actors on Supernatural, Katie Cassidy has arguably had the most significant role, particularly as Laurel Lance, also known as Black Canary, in the Arrowverse.
