Accessory maker that leaked Switch 2 responds to Nintendo lawsuit

The company that revealed details about the Switch 2 console and its accompanying devices, in a legal dispute with Nintendo, has offered a response.

On May 2, 2025, Nintendo disclosed that it was planning to sue Genki due to their unauthorized sharing of preliminary designs for the Nintendo Switch 2. Originally, Genki displayed these products during CES 2025, providing gamers with a sneak peek at the appearance of the upcoming system before its scheduled launch on June 5.

According to the legal case, Nintendo argues that Genki didn’t have permission to use pre-launch models, suggesting it was improbable they possessed the console at any point.

The Japanese gaming corporation maintains that Genki deceived their fans by misleading them about the availability of compatible accessories with Nintendo, causing confusion among Nintendo’s fanbase.
