Young Sheldon Joins Big Bang Theory in Night Court Crossover!

It’s possible you’re curious about the possibility of a crossover between The Big Bang Theory and Young Sheldon, both of which are no longer airing. But guess what? A program on NBC has pulled off something magical to make this occur.

It’s worth noting that Sheldon’s original and follow-up series have often missed each other like passing ships at night. In case you recall, in the Season 12 episode ‘The VCR Illumination,’ George Cooper made an appearance on video, serving as a link between both shows after his character underwent significant changes.

Beyond this, it’s worth noting that Lance Barber, an actor, portrayed Jimmy Speckerman in TBBT (The Big Bang Theory), while in reality, Laurie Metcalf and Zoe Perry are mother and daughter. Now, imagine if these shows could escalate their crossover opportunities even further?

Indeed, NBC is stepping up. Although George and Mandi’s first marriage is grabbing headlines, it seems that The Big Bang Theory and Young Sheldon will be joining forces elsewhere.

Young Sheldon and Big Bang Theory set for Night Court crossover

Switch places, CBS – NBC is now in control. This week, the third season finale of the Night Court reboot is airing, featuring Melissa Rauch from The Big Bang Theory (as Bernadette) and Raegan Revord from Young Sheldon (as Missy).

In the Instagram video, Rauch tells Revord, “For the past week, I’ve been pondering… There’s an old friend of mine who has a twin sister that strongly resembles you.” To which Revord responds, “That’s quite strange…” and seems to contemplate before saying, “I wonder if… but nope.

Additionally, we have actor Simon Helberg on board as a guest star, known for his role as Howard in The Big Bang Theory. Essentially, the third season of Night Court is aiming for a double-whammy reunion.

According to the official summary, “The final episode of Night Court concludes with a big explosion of excitement as Simon Helberg, a brilliant mind, reappears!

In this extraordinary two-part finale, we extend the universe of The Big Bang Theory even more by incorporating elements from a classic Michael J. Fox episode on Night Court, where Raegan Revord as Young Sheldon pays tribute to it. Additionally, we have the brilliant Michael Urie and the legendary Marsha Warfield gracing our screens.

In a nod to the classic series that aired from 1984-1992, there’s an additional connection for dedicated fans. Interestingly, Missy can be seen as a modern-day runaway too, as she takes George’s car in an attempt to reach Florida during spring break – a scenario reminiscent of Season 6.

Missy had Paige accompany her, yet they were stopped by police officers en route, preventing them from going very far. On the Georgie & Mandy spinoff, Missy’s adolescent defiance continues unabated, as evidenced by her recent elopement to Mexico with the man she intended to wed.

Warning: Plot Twist… And unfortunately, she did not survive. Tune in to NBC on May 6, 2025, at 8.30pm ET/PT for the season finale of The Night Court.
