One reason that has me particularly enthused is the possible return of the show’s co-creator, Taylor Sheridan, who often makes cameo appearances in his TV productions. The stage is also being set for an array of fresh characters to emerge in “Landman” season 2. With Tommy Norris’ oil company M-TEX aiming to kickstart its fracking farmout project, and Andy Garcia’s character Galino and his enforcers poised to take on a greater role, this season promises to be nothing short of riveting!
Among the potential new roles in Landman’s ensemble, it would be fitting to include one for Taylor Sheridan, extending a trajectory that commenced in 2018 with his portrayal of Travis Wheatley in Yellowstone. Sheridan, whose acting career dates back three decades, first gained recognition as a recurring character in the crime series Sons of Anarchy. Lately, I’ve found myself among the cast of the thrilling spy series, Special Ops: Lioness, portraying a unique character – Sergeant Cody Spears, a US special forces soldier working for the CIA. In the initial episodes of season 2, my character, Sergeant Spears, makes a fleeting appearance, but there’s a chance that he could resurface to support Zoe Saldaña’s Joe McNamara and her team in future missions as the series unfolds.

Who Taylor Sheridan Could Play In Landman Season 2
Based On Previous Cameos, He Could Be A Friend Of Tommy Norris
In summary, the finale of “Landman” season 1 paves the way for an extended narrative in season 2. The character Billy Bob Thornton portrays, Tommy Norris, manages to survive a lethal attack with the aid of an unforeseen device from the Jiminez cartel, whereas Jon Hamm’s oil baron Monty Miller might not be as fortunate. This situation suggests that we can expect Tommy to take charge of the fracking project discussed at the end of season 1, with a greater role for the new cartel leader Galino, played by Andy Garcia.
In the upcoming series “Landman,” there’s a strong possibility that Taylor Sheridan will join the cast, either as part of M-TEX’s fracking team or one of Galino’s associates. However, considering his past roles as allies of the main character in his TV projects, it seems more plausible that he’ll be portraying a friend of Tommy’s who is involved in the oil trade in some capacity, rather than a henchman for a Mexican-American mob boss. Regardless, it’s hard to imagine Sheridan not showing up on “Landman” eventually.
