For the first time in years, iDubbbz, formerly known as Ian, took on the role previously held by Content Cop to criticize h3h3 Productions, a creator he had been close with in the past. The aftermath of this video led to both iDubbbz and his partner Anisa relinquishing their ownership of Creator Clash.
Following his shout-out towards h3h3 Productions, which is another name for Ethan Klein, the YouTube personality countered by criticizing the event and expressing doubts about whether it was truly donating funds to charity.
Consequently, iDubbbz has decided to completely withdraw from the event and hand over all responsibilities. The event will continue, however, without his or Anisa’s participation in any capacity.
Yet, this choice isn’t devoid of its challenges, as two creators have announced their withdrawal from the event due to the escalating issues.
iDubbbz gives up ownership of Creator Clash event
At the moment of this writing, Ian’s video featuring Ethan Klein has nearly 7 million views, making it one of his most successful videos. His return to make a Content Cop after a long hiatus has sparked intense discussions among various content creators, keeping iDubbbz at the center of recent conversations.
Ian asserts that engaging in creator disputes and defending himself during dramas hinders his ability to effectively organize a charitable event.
In his subsequent response to the original Content Cop video, iDubbbz expressed disappointment as he had anticipated that if he created a video about Ethan, Ethan would conduct himself maturely and focus his criticisms on him and Anisa. Regrettably, he was mistaken, for Ethan, in an ill-advised effort to discredit Anisa and me, launched personal attacks against our charity event instead.
Given the latest discovery that some individuals may exploit Creator Clash for attacks against Anisa and me, we’ve chosen to withdraw ourselves from this platform. Our business associates, who managed the past two events, will now take charge.
Despite the ongoing Creator Clash event, Harley Morenstein and Lena Ayad have decided to withdraw from participating due to their disassociation with the competition following iDubbbz’s dispute with h3, choosing not to engage in fights any longer.
In due time, this situation was bound to unfold. Frankly, I couldn’t hold my tongue – though I could, I simply chose not to. As Ian expressed in his video, he decided to take action against Ethan rather than remaining passive.
He asserted that he remains proud of his accomplishments related to the event and encourages his audience to continue supporting it, regardless of his current involvement.
iDubbbz explained that it’s not possible to enjoy the benefits of both worlds: either you’ll engage in offensive online behavior like a vulgar animal, or you’ll organize a charitable event. Unfortunately, these two things don’t go hand in hand.
Additionally, the official Creator Clash account issued an extended message on the matter, wrapping it up by encouraging everyone to set aside their disagreements, prioritize charitable causes, and continue supporting the creators who remain active in the community.
We understand if you’re feeling disappointed or let down by the noise. However, we encourage you to keep supporting those who bravely enter the arena. They have put in tremendous effort, and the causes we strive for are far too significant to see their importance overshadowed.
Currently, the event scheduled for June 28, 2025, remains unchanged and has not been postponed due to this ruling.
