A user on TikTok is under suspicion for deceiving followers by falsely collecting over $1 million supposedly as charitable donations towards an imaginary organization combating domestic violence.
In December 2024, social media influencer Amy Downs (alias Slot_7.0 or Slotmachinequeen) was taken into custody when it emerged she had amassed close to $1 million in charitable donations, but the charity she claimed to represent never materialized.
Based on reports from the Limestone County Sheriff’s Office in Athens, Alabama, it is alleged that Downs requested donations between the years 2021 and 2024. The funds were intended for a charitable organization aimed at assisting victims of domestic violence and homeless individuals.
On TikTok videos, a woman asked her followers to contribute money to her individual PayPal, CashApp, and Venmo accounts. Yet, officials claim that the money she received, approximately $1 million, was actually deposited into her personal bank account, disguised as charitable contributions.
She has been accused of committing first-degree charitable fraud seven times and tax evasion three times. Downs was initially detained with a bail set at $1.2 million, but managed to secure release from jail within a few days.

On the 30th of April this week, Downs made an appearance in court. At that point, a legal representative was assigned to her by the court. Currently, she is still dealing with all her charges and isn’t being detained in prison. The next development regarding her case will take place on July 23, 2025.
Currently, Downs’ TikTok account known as Slot_7.0 has been completely deleted, however, her videos are still being shared and re-posted on the platform.
She isn’t the only TikTok user who has encountered criminal accusations; back in March, Marlena Valez received a 12-month probation sentence for two charges related to stealing goods from a nearby Target store.
Valez brought the goods home to make “Target shopping spree” videos, and this is how she ended up getting caught by the authorities later on.
