‘The Gentlemen’ Star Daniel Ings Joins Catherine Zeta-Jones’ Revenge Thriller Series ‘Kill Jackie’

Actor Daniel Ings (“The Gentlemen,” “I Hate Suzie”) is set to be part of the cast for “Kill Jackie” (working title), an upcoming revenge thriller series produced by Fremantle, Steel Springs Pictures, and Amazon’s Prime Video, with Catherine Zeta-Jones as the main star.

In Nick Harkaway’s novel “The Price You Pay,” an eight-part series unfolds about Jackie Price (Zeta-Jones), a once prominent international cocaine dealer who finds her opulent lifestyle unexpectedly threatened when she uncovers a group of the deadliest assassins, known as The Seven Demons, have been contracted to take her out. In the storyline, Sam, a meticulous lawyer and Jackie’s long-standing admirer, will be portrayed by Ings.

Meanwhile, Fremantle will manage distribution in all territories except for the U.S., where Steel Springs Pictures will take the lead.

The TV series was developed and jointly written by Conor Keane, who additionally acts as an associate producer. Damon Thomas, known for “Killing Eve”, will take the lead directing role, while Tom Butterworth from “Gangs of London” is both the writer and showrunner. Alongside Zeta-Jones, other executive producers include Peter Lawson and Jose Augustin Valdes from Steel Springs Pictures, Dante Di Loreto for Fremantle, and Butterworth, Thomas, and Jeffrey Levine. José Luis Escolar’s Deabru Kalea Filmeak is overseeing the production in Bizkaia.
