League of Legends now lets you sell your Recall button for some reason and you can’t get it back

In simple terms, a glitch from the popular game League of Legends has slipped into the active version, granting players an unexpected option to sell their “Recall” function.

The latest update for League of Legends, version 25.09, was released on April 30th. This update includes significant modifications to objectives, fundamental systems, and the customary champion alterations. Although most players are adapting to these new changes, one aspect has left them puzzled.

LoL players can now sell their Recall button

According to popular League of Legends YouTuber Vandiril, it’s now possible for players to sell their Recall ability in the game shop. In a short video showcasing a bot match played as Blitzcrank, the player demonstrates this by using the Recall skill to return to base.

In that scenario, there’s nothing unusual. But when Vandiril accesses the item shop, they click on ‘Recall’ to sell the skill. After selling ‘Recall’, the button vanishes, preventing the player from re-teleporting to the base.

As a gamer, I’ve found myself in a frustrating predicament: once I sell off the Recall ability, there’s no way to get it back. It simply vanishes from the shop, and undoing the action isn’t an option. This becomes a real issue when I accidentally click or make a mistake, as I’ve lost something valuable that I can’t recover.

In addition, the YouTuber points out that pressing the recall button followed by the keyboard shortcut has no effect. Instead, you’ll have to return to your base on foot, which is inconvenient because it causes you to miss out on a significant amount of gameplay during that time.

As a fan, I found myself surprised to learn that clicking the Recall button doesn’t earn any monetary value. This means that if you accidentally sell this crucial ability, there won’t be any gold coming your way as compensation. Consequently, if you had dreams of buying Liandry’s Torment early or a pair of Ionian Boots, I’m sorry to say, but those plans might need to be put on hold.

Currently, Riot Games has not released a solution for the ongoing issue, and players continue to report it on the League of Legends Reddit forum. To ensure safety, be mindful when exploring the in-game shop, as there’s a possibility you might have to make a lengthy journey back to your base.
