Oblivion Remastered includes many other regions of Tamriel. Keen players can visit some of them

In The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, the playable region of Cyrodiil represents merely a fraction of the vast Tamriel. Adjacent provinces within the game’s map are Hammerfell, Elsweyr, Valenwood, Black Marsh, and Skyrim.

As it happens, there’s no obstacle stopping you from dropping by a few of them. This observation was made by Reddit user GnoblinXD, who subsequently shared this finding with others.

As I strolled beside the Strid River, starting from Skingrad, I discovered an unexpected leap that led me to Valenwood, close to Kvatch. Upon further investigation, I was astonished to find that almost the entire expanse of the map was present, albeit not yet fully detailed.

The gamer chronicled his adventure with snapshots and a tutorial video detailing the path to Valenwood, the dwelling place of the Bosmer or Wood Elves. Interestingly, this unexplored section of the map includes the Summerset islands, visible in the distance to the west. Regrettably, GnoblinXD was unable to traverse there during his journey.

Excited by his finding, he chose to explore if the northern region could be visited as well. Indeed, it could. He managed to navigate towards Hammerfell, a place said to be the backdrop for The Elder Scrolls VI. What’s intriguing is that this area is reportedly larger than both Valenwood and Elsweyr, and it too is densely forested.

The landmass stretches way beyond render-distance, so who knows how far it goes…

Another player decided to explore further in the province of Skyrim within Oblivion Remastered, curious if there were any secret finds. Sadly, his adventure concluded with an unexpected tumble off the game’s edge, which he documented on X.

You can now play “The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered” on your PC, PlayStation 5, or Xbox Series X/S. Additionally, this game is included in the Game Pass subscription service.
