In a fresh Comedy Central special, Jordan Klepper will explore the heartbeat of young supporters of former President Donald Trump.
On May 19, at 11:30 p.m., a special called “MAGA: The Next Generation,” brought to you by “The Daily Show,” will air right after the regular show. You can watch it on Paramount+, and starting from May 20, it will also be available on “The Daily Show’s” YouTube channel.
Trevor Klepper, famed for conducting interviews at Trump rallies on “The Daily Show,” will engage with young Republican supporters in various settings, ranging from college campuses to MMA arenas. He aims to explore the following queries: “Was it economic concerns or the allure of a 78-year-old dancing to YMCA that attracted more voters under 30 to Donald Trump in 2024 than any Republican since 2008? Is the MAGA movement’s momentum enduring, or are these young voters merely protesting against a Constitution that has been guiding America for 250 years?
In “MAGA: The Next Generation,” Klepper’s sixth installment for “The Daily Show,” he delves into various topics, such as Republicans’ connection to Russia, Hungary’s far-right administration, and his peculiar encounters during the 2020 campaign. Previously, he has hosted Emmy-nominated shows that examined these subjects, along with a special focusing on the American midterms and an in-depth analysis of Trump’s fervent supporters.
In his sixth appearance on “The Daily Show,” Klepper discusses topics like Republicans and Russia, Hungary’s far-right government, and his unusual experiences during the 2020 campaign. He has previously hosted shows about these issues, as well as a special focusing on the American midterms and exploring Trump’s most passionate supporters.
Initially, Jordan Klepper worked for “The Daily Show” from 2014 to 2017 as a correspondent under the leadership of Jon Stewart and later Trevor Noah. However, he took a short break to host his own satirical show, “The Opposition With Jordan Klepper.” He returned permanently in 2019. In 2023, he was added to the team of hosts which already includes Stewart, Ronny Chieng, Michael Kosta and Desi Lydic.
