Jack Doherty allegedly assaulted & robbed of $300k by armed thieves

In a reported incident, streamer Jack Doherty contacted the police following an alleged robbery in Los Angeles, stating that four individuals with firearms had stolen from him two diamond necklaces valued at approximately $300,000.

Jack Doherty is known as one of the internet’s most contentious streamers, with incidents like crashing his $200K McLaren while using his phone in October 2024 contributing significantly to this reputation. This incident gained so much attention that it led to a parody on Saturday Night Live.

Now, Doherty has sparked up another big moment online… but not for something that was his fault.

On April 26th, Doherty shared a brief video on his X account, asserting that he had been the victim of a robbery. The incident allegedly occurred outside the Cheesecake Factory located at N Beverly Drive and Brighton Way, with two diamond chains, valued at approximately $300,000 in total, missing from him.

Jack Doherty allegedly jumped by armed men in $300K theft

The streamer stated that during the day, he found himself in Rodeo, where four individuals armed with weapons unexpectedly emerged from a car and assaulted him. They overpowered him, pushing him down onto the ground.

He told the police in a statement (which they broadcast on his social media channel called Parti), “He kept circling me on the street, attempting to take my watch.

I wasn’t sure what direction to take, as if I strayed too far, he would isolate me and given my broken collarbone, I wouldn’t be able to defend myself.

In the video posted by Doherty, it’s clear that the influencer was conversing with multiple police officers on the spot and also criticizing his security personnel for their inability to prevent the theft.

The individual stated to his companion, who was capturing the aftermath, “He pointed a gun at me and I responded, ‘No way, I don’t care, I’m keeping this watch, buddy, I’d rather die for it,'” expressing frustration over losing $300K, which he considered to be more disastrous than the McLaren crash.

Regardless of the monetary loss, Doherty pledged to return to Rodeo the following day and invest in even pricier jewelry – and true to his word, he did so; flaunting a collection of high-end watches on Instagram.

As a dedicated fan, I haven’t heard the streamer make any further comments about the incident. Interestingly, he also handed over the shirt he wore during the altercation, which could potentially serve as evidence in the case.

He has recently been implicated again by the authorities, following an accusation made by his girlfriend that he threatened her back in March.
