Matt Lauria has joined the cast of “Sheriff Country,” CBS‘ upcoming spinoff of “Fire Country.”
In the upcoming series, Morena Baccarin will be acting opposite another character. It was previously announced that she would lead the show when CBS approved it in May last year. As per the official description, “Sheriff Country” will focus on Mickey Fox (played by Baccarin), a straightforward sheriff and the stepsister of Sharon Leone, the division chief at Cal Fire (portrayed by Diane Farr in ‘Fire Country’). Mickey investigates criminal activity while patrolling the streets of small-town Edgewater. She also deals with her ex-convict father (W. Earl Brown) and a strange event concerning her estranged daughter.
