Michael B. Jordan’s Vampire Look Stuns Fans

With the progression of the Will Smith-led project, there is a buzz among fans about who might play one of the other key characters in the forthcoming sci-fi sequel. Conceptual artwork hints at Michael B. Jordan’s character sharing the screen with Smith in the upcoming blockbuster.

Artist diamonddead (on Instagram) posted an intriguing image, imagined as a promotional poster for I Am Legend 2. This depicts Jordan wielding a weapon and exhibiting a threatening demeanor, much like his character from Sinners. Additionally, the tagline on the poster reads, “The struggle for a new dawn is underway.” Similar to Sinners, vampires play a role in the narrative of I Am Legend.

Even though I Am Legend 2 hasn’t been formally greenlit yet, Smith has hinted at its progress on several occasions lately. He also offered some insights into what we might see in the sequel, as well as suggesting who Jordan might portray in the subsequent installment. However, he clarified that Jordan would not be playing his son, contrary to certain rumors.

In a continuation of the 2007 post-apocalyptic thriller, “I Am Legend 2” picks up where the original film left off, inspired by Richard Matheson’s novel of the same name. In the first movie, Will Smith plays U.S. Army virologist Robert Neville, who is seen in New York City after a virus, initially intended to cure cancer, wipes out humanity, leaving him surrounded by nocturnal mutants known as the Darkseekers. Despite the massive box-office success of “I Am Legend” ($585 million worldwide), its critical reception and public perception have been divisive, with many finding the ending controversial where Neville chooses to end his own life and that of the Darkseekers in order to preserve the virus’ cure. Contrarily, “I Am Legend 2” will carry on from the more faithful-to-the-book conclusion in which Neville abandons his research upon realizing he has become a monster to the infected.

In the potential sequel to “I Am Legend 2”, Jordan shared that they are still refining the script and making sure it meets their standards. No release date has been set yet, and he’s unsure where they will film, but he is eager to start shooting alongside his co-star.

Following his celebrated double role in the director’s chilling supernatural thriller “Sinners,” which has been a massive critical success in the horror genre, Jordan is also set to appear in and helm the forthcoming remake of “The Thomas Crown Affair.” Additionally, he is working on an original project titled “Eclipse Point,” further expanding his creative horizons.
