Blue Prince offers a variety of intriguing artifacts that can aid you in your journey or potentially pose challenges – choose your path. Among the most beneficial are the Power Hammer, Energy Pouch, Faulty Lever, or Glowing Shard. However, there’s at least one more crucial item for your expedition – the Axe. Be cautious, as it has a limited number of uses. So, utilize them wisely.

How to get the Axe in Blue Prince

To obtain the axe, you’ll first need to light all four blue torches situated around the mansion. These torch controls can be found at the external locations.

  2. Apple Orchard
  3. After unlocking West Gate, pick Schoolhouse and Hovel as rooms outside the mansion.

You’ll gain access to the elevator leading down to the Underground Cliffside. There, you’ll encounter a Chess challenge. Solve it successfully and a reward is yours. If you opt for the Knight as your prize, you’ll then be granted access to the Armory.

Some rooms within a house contain hidden chessmen. The layout of this house serves as our chessboard. By following these clues, you’ll need to place the pieces on the squares that correspond to the rooms with hidden pieces in your own residence. And just as expected, the layout changes daily.

Of course, each piece can appear only in specific rooms.

  1. Pawn – it is the most common piece, you can find it for example in: Bedrooms, Den, Dining Room, Dormitory, Drawing Room, Freezer, Parlor, Lost and Found, Secret Passage, Solarium, Storeroom or Walk-in Closet
  2. Bishop – Attic, Bookshop, Chapel
  3. King – Office, Throne Room.
  4. Knight – Observatory, Security Room, Treasure Trove
  5. Rook – Clock Tower, Conservatory, Nook, Vault
  6. Queen – Her Ladyship’s Chambers, Study

If you put your piece in a good position, the field will light up.

Where and how to use Axe in Blue Prince

For some players, figuring out how to employ the Axe can be a bit confusing. However, it’s important to note that the Axe has a limited number of uses – specifically, 3. Once you’ve used it to ‘axe’ or clear 3 rooms, you won’t be able to utilize this item anymore during your gameplay. This implies that each use should be strategic and effective, as you only have three chances to make it count.

To effectively utilize this item, you’ll need to navigate to the Mount Holly Directory and select a specific room. In the lower right corner of your screen, you’ll spot an icon that resembles an axe. However, where can you apply the Axe in Blue Prince remains unspecified.

  1. Attic – without a doubt it is one of the most useful rooms, as it contains 8 different items.
  2. Passageway – while it is not the most common room to axe by players, it is definitely very useful. A free room open in all directions can prove to be extremely powerful in any run.
  3. Trophy – with this room for free, you are quite good when it comes to gems.

Notable Recognitions: Some individuals often overlook the significance of a Classroom, yet it serves primarily for earning accolades, such as trophies. Analogously, the purpose of a Throne Room lies in its association with puzzles.
