Breath of Fire IV is now available on GOG for PC as a part of the GOG Preservation Program

Capcom’s Breath of Fire IV is now available on PC (GOG) through the GOG Preservation Program.

GOG has unveiled and made available Capcom’s RPG, Breath of Fire IV, for PCs running Windows 10 and Windows 11. This game was initially launched in Japan for the original PlayStation console in 2000, followed by North America, and later Europe. A year after its initial release, it came to Europe. In 2003, it was ported to PC in both Japan and Europe.

The special edition of Breath of Fire IV on GOG comes with two language options: English and Japanese, as well as enhanced visuals thanks to a modernized DirectX renderer, a reinstated soundtrack courtesy of a revamped audio system, and additional features.

This game is now part of the GOG Preservation Program, featuring significant updates: the improved edition runs smoothly on contemporary systems, boasting compatibility with Windows 10 and 11. Players can indulge in both English and Japanese versions, as well as enhanced graphics thanks to an upgraded DirectX renderer, offering options like Windowed Mode, V-Sync, Anti-Aliasing, and refined gamma correction for a more captivating visual experience. Additionally, the audio engine has been revamped, reintroducing lost ambient sounds and introducing new customization settings.
