To put it plainly, what I’m going to discuss next is something that strikes me now as quite obvious. I kindly ask for your understanding and tolerance, knowing that I am admitting a level of humility by sharing this. And for those who, like myself, might not have known about it earlier, take comfort in the fact that you are joining a group of people who were equally unaware.
Previously this year, an upgrade marked as the second major one for Fields of Mistria was launched, introducing the lava cave biome into the game. Unlike me, you won’t need to employ your watering can and hop around the assortment of rock formations in the cave to advance through it. Instead, the developers of Field of Mistria have unveiled that players can utilize the game’s rain spell to immediately solidify every bit of lava on the floor at once. Yes, all of it. While this action consumes a significant amount of mana if you wish to perform it across multiple levels, let me tell you, it alters things and spares my exhausted stamina bar.

It’s true that Fields of Mistria hasn’t been on my playlist much since its second update, largely because there have been so many excellent games released this year. That’s why I feel slightly more understanding about my delay in noticing certain aspects of the game. However, being a fan of strategic, indirect gameplay (like Metal Gear Solid and Paranormasight), I can’t help but regret not realizing earlier that I could use the rain spell in the mines.
On Mistria’s Instagram, this might be one of the most surprising “wow, I didn’t know that!” discoveries, but don’t forget to explore all the other advice too! For instance, did you realize that by feeding a mimic, it will expel useful resources and vanish? Also, I’ve noticed many players having trouble with the slimes that hurl rocks at them. The key to defeating them is timing: strike your sword when they’re about to throw the rocks, causing them to return the favor; just two well-timed hits should do it.
As NPC Studios diligently develops their outstanding farming simulator, our team at TopMob is persistently creating guides for Field of Mistria. This game is currently one of the highly anticipated titles, set to exit early access in the year 2025.
