While the Lakers’ offense showed improvement during the second half, Minnesota managed to keep pace (and even pull ahead) with their performance.

On a night that wouldn’t be easily forgotten, Anthony Edwards put up an impressive performance, tallying 57 points in the team’s victory. Additionally, he added 58 total points (including rebounds and assists), seven rebounds, two assists, and two steals to his stats. No other player managed to surpass the 15-point mark that evening. However, it didn’t matter since Edwards was playing exceptional basketball. Rudy Gobert contributed with 14 rebounds, two blocks, and 10 points in the game as well.
Regarding the Lakers, LeBron James played exceptionally well, netting 40 points, grabbing 10 rebounds, and dishing out 4 assists. However, he didn’t receive much support, as no one else managed to score more than 16 points in their defeat. Luka Doncic’s performance was unusual for him, which might have been the deciding factor in the game’s outcome.
Although the Lakers managed more steals and points from turnovers, they weren’t as precise in their shots compared to Minnesota. The Timberwolves had a higher success rate with both field goals and free throws, which played a significant role in their win. We’ll have to wait and see if Los Angeles can correct those errors in the future. Unfortunately, these misses were costly in Game 3.
