Sony has resurrected the original PlayStation home screens on the PS5, offering gamers a charming blast from the past with a touch of nostalgia.
On December 2, 2024, Sony unveiled an update for the PS5 that enabled players to customize their home screens using classic themes from the PS1, PS2, PS3, and PS4. This update garnered immense appreciation among fans, but was only accessible temporarily as part of PlayStation’s 30th anniversary celebration.
Initially, the community expressed their discontent swiftly upon their removal, as many hoped they would become permanent. However, in an update launched on April 24th, these highly anticipated retro themes have returned once more.
